What a day in Miesville..... The St. Paul Saints visited Jack Ruhr Field on Sunday facing the CCVL All-Stars. St. Paul left with a 13-2 win but the fans enjoyed great weather and some exciting baseball. The day started with tailgating in the parking lot and baseballs flying over the right field fence by former major leaguer Craig Brazell. The CCVL fans were treated to a creative show by Red Wing Aces players. Jim Bohmbach hit from both sides of the plate during the derby but was also thrown left and right handed by teammate Cory Tauer. St. Paul won the HR derby. The game started with St. Paul scoring 2 runs in the first including a mammoth homerun to straight away center into a fierce wind. CCVL starting pitcher Dana Kiecker was saved from further damage by Miesville's Matt Van Der Bosch who threw out a runner at home with 2 outs to end the inning. St Paul added 4 runs in the 3rd inning and went on to win the game 13-2. The CCVL managed just 4 hits, with 2 by Miesville's Matt Van Der Bosch.
